ABOUT ADRIANA

Adriana Buico, has began studying ballet in 1971, following a professional training path with Italian, French, British, American and Russian teachers both in Europe and in the USA. In addition to classical ballet, she studied contemporary dance, modern, jazz, tip-tap, character, flamenco. For further specialization in teaching she studied anatomy applied to dance, dance writing, teaching, repertoire and choreography.After graduating as a teacher, she founded in 1980 the School of Dance "Red Shoes" in Padova which she headed until 1990.
During this period she achieved significant recognition for both classical and modern choreography, while her students passed the exams of the Royal Acedemy of Dancing in London with brilliant results; some of them exceed the selections for admission to prestigious schools such as La Scala in Milan, the Rome Opera and the School of Liliana Cosi and Marinel Stefanescu, other rank at the top in various competitions of ballet, others became teachers and are distinguished by their training and professionalism forming new students and new talents.
Her latest venture is with the Society of Dance of Fabio Mollica, where in addition to the always great pleasure to dance, and this time with her husband, has also been following a training course to teach the dances of the nineteenth century tradition and Scottish dancing according to the system of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society. In 2014 he founded in Padua the "Circle Padovano of the Society of Dance" where also teach.
